SOFIA FREIRE
A multifaceted artist, Sofia Freire is a singer, songwriter, pianist, keyboardist, and music producer. She flirts with dark pop, neo-jazz, and trip-hop, blending electronic textures with psychedelic undertones in captivating performances.
Born in Recife, Pernambuco, Sofia brings over a decade of experience and three studio albums to her credit. Her latest release, the acclaimed Ponta da Língua, was nominated for the APCA Award and featured on several "Best of the Year" lists. The album’s sound reflects her artistic maturity, showcasing a creative approach to pop music that seamlessly combines evocative poetry with sophisticated harmonies.
In 2025, she performed on the main stage at Lollapalooza Brazil and was named by Rolling Stone as one of the "Voices of the Future of Music in Brazil," solidifying her position as one of the standout names of her generation.
Her trajectory includes significant collaborations, such as being invited by Gilberto Gil to join his band on the REFAVELA40 tour in 2018. She is also a member of Alessandra Leão’s band and the Dita Curva project, in addition to her extensive work in film scoring and music production.
In 2026, Sofia will embark on her first European tour with her solo show while simultaneously preparing her next studio album.
